Yuma man sentenced after setting apartment complex on fire

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma man convicted of arson after setting his apartment complex on fire was sentenced in court Friday.

44-year-old Agustin Vera will serve seven years in prison, after pleading guilty to the fire on Madison Avenue and 20th street back in January.

Vera was facing a total of nine felony counts, including aggravated assault and six counts of endangerment.

Vera received the minimum due to the sate of his mental health at the time of the arson.

He will receive credit for 152 days already served in custody.
