YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - San Luis's Police Chief, Richard Jessup, is set to retire from the department Thursday after serving the city for 10 years.

Chief Jessup says it has been an honor being the Chief of Police in San Luis, the largest city, with a port of entry, located on the Arizona and Mexico border, for over 5 years.

Chief Jessup started his law enforcement career in 1982 as a police officer in San Jacinto, California.

He has worked for several other departments to include the Yuma Police Department and the Arizona Department of Public Safety during his career in law enforcement.

Samantha Byrd will have more in an exclusive interview with Jessup this evening at 6.
