Calexico man arrested in armed dispute
CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) -A Calexico man is facing a slew of felony charges following a family dispute Thursday afternoon.
Calexico Police Department arrived on the scene at 1029 E. 2nd street in Calexico around 3:45 local time.
Upon arrival, Calexico PD heard several gunshots coming from the home.
Officers immediately engaged in communication with the homeowner, later identified as Ramon Landeros.
Landeros's daughter told authorities her father was alone in the residence armed with an AK-47 and body armor.
Landeros subsequently walked out of his residence not wearing his body armor and not in possession of any firearms.
Landeros was charged with felon in possession of firearms, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of body armor, negligent discharge of a firearm, and child endangerment, he was booked into the Imperial County Jail.
