Local middle school sports programs taking on wins

Harvest Preparatory Academy's Middle School celebrates students' achievements

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Harvest Preparatory Academy's (HPA) middle school students have made great achievements this year with their sports programs.

In a press release, HPA recognizes its students and teams for excelling in sports.

From the Yuma campus, Adan Beltran wins the Arizona State Wrestling Championship for the 2022-2023 year.

HPA says Beltran looks forward to more years with them and to taking the championship again in the future.

The boy's baseball team won first in the San Luis baseball league championships on December 14.

And the girl's softball team won second in San Luis championships, HPA says they almost had an undefeated season with players playing for the first time competitively.

According to HPA, the school will compete in the CAA league with their team competing against other middle schools statewide.
