Police warn locals of ‘Porch Pirates’ this holiday season

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - With online Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, come packages to your doorstep.

But all too often those packages never make it into your hands, thanks to porch pirates.

Package thieves, also known as porch pirates swipe packages when given the opportunity.

The longer it stays on your porch, the higher the chance your package is going to get swiped.

Tonight, the Yuma Police Department will have tips on how to avoid this package theft as packages start to roll in before Christmas.
