VIDEO: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade

(NBC) - The 96th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade marched its way down a 2.5-mile path today in New York City, featuring marching bands, 16 giant character balloons, 28 floats and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.

This year's parade featured a variety of performers including 12 marching bands from across the country.

Along with 16 giant character balloons, 28 floats, 40 novelty and heritage inflatables and 700 clowns.

And at the end of the 2.5 mile route, the couple everyone came to see, Santa and Mrs. Claus pulling up the rear and placing a bow on this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
