FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Thanksgiving expected to be clear and windy in the Desert Southwest

The holiday weekend is likely to be a comfortable one with only some speedy winds to deal with

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - After sunny skies and near normal temperatures today, a dry weather system will track across eastern portions of the region on Thursday. This will result in breezy conditions on Thursday, while temperatures top out at around 70 degrees across the lower deserts. Tranquil weather will then prevail through the upcoming weekend with temperatures remaining near normal. More unsettled weather is likely into next week with a larger weather system likely moving through the region late Monday into Tuesday bringing chances for precipitation across at least portions of the area and much cooler temperatures.
