YPD hosts 12th annual Scary and Safe Trick or Treat

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD), with help from the Yuma County Fair Inc. and the City of Yuma is hosting the 12th annual “Scary & Safe Trick or Treat” event at the Yuma County Fairgrounds.

The event takes place on Halloween night from 5 to 8 p.m.

Local, state, tribal and federal public safety agencies, along with businesses and local nonprofit organizations, will come together at the Yuma County Fairgrounds to give away treats.

The admission fee is $1 per person and $5 for the fast pass line.

All proceeds will be donated to the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

There will be plenty of entertainment available to help occupy visitors while waiting in line, like tilt walkers and dancers.

A face painter and static display vehicles will be on hand, and the movie Hocus Pocus will play on a big screen.

Candy will only be given to children 17 years and younger
