Imperial Valley experiences power outages and flooding

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial Valley is seeing a series of floods and power outages during this Saturday's storm.

In a Twitter post, the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) said that 4696 customers in Imperial and El Centro have lost power. Crews are hard at work repairing the system.

Not only that, according to the El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC), water has entered the entrance of the hospital.

Furthermore, ECRMC is also hard at work trying to contain the water from reaching the patients.

As of now, no water has entered the patient areas or labs.
