FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Sunny, clear week ahead, but potential strorms could be in play for weekend

While the next week is mostly forecasted to be sunny, small storm chances could be something to factor into your weekend plans

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA,KECY) - The Desert Southwest will see quieter weather for much of the work
week. Beneath a ridge of high pressure, sunshine will warm us back above normal. By Thursday and Friday, the lower deserts, including Phoenix and Yuma, will reach the mid to upper 90s. Any isolated
showers and storms will favor higher terrain the next couple days, with most areas dry in the second half of the work week. This weekend, an area of low pressure will move ashore the Southern
California coast. As it nears our region, shower and storm chances will resume and temperatures will turn a bit cooler.
