DEA announces largest ever methamphetamine seizure ever after raid in southern California

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - On Wednesday the Drug Enforcement Agency announced that it seized approximately $33 million worth of methamphetamine and cocaine last month in a single bust.

Officials say the raid at a home in Riverside County, California represents the DEA's largest meth seizure ever.

Police recovered approximately 3,500 pounds of methamphetamine and 66 kilograms of cocaine.

The DEA said in a release it is believed the trafficking organization law enforcement was tracking is connected to the Sinaloa cartel.

The agency worked in coordination with the Fontana Police Department during the operation.
