Young leaders are recognized for their commitment to the Yuma community

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - 20 nominees under the age of 40 years were honored for their contributions to the community.

The goal is to promote leadership and help develop the next generation of local leaders.

"We want to spotlight young professional entrepreneurs, people that are giving back to the community in a way we can recognized them as the next generation of young leaders in Yuma," stated Nexgen Leadership Council Member John Hessinger.

Our very own News Director Ernesto Romero is one of the proud recipients this year.

The third annual 20 under 40 award ceremony took place last night at the Kress in Downtown Yuma.
