NBC 11 Sports: A pair of sweeps!

San Pasqual volleyball drop a doubleheader to Salome while Gila Ridge golf sweeps at Cocopah

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The San Pasqual Valley volleyball team dropped a home doubleheader to Salome 3-1 and 3-2. The Warriors are now 1-5 on the season and travel to Mayer High school on Wednesday.

In Prep golf, the Gila Ridge boys and girls golf teams had a nice showing against San Luis at Cocopah Golf Resort.

Hawks senior John McMahen finished as medalist shooting a 36. Freshman Trent Kavorski shot a 40 followed by Jack Sternizke and Nathaniel Golding's 45's. The Hawks won the meet with a team score of 166 to San Luis' 234.

In girl's golf, again it was Gila Ridge flying to the top led by medalist Emma Martinez' 42 including seven pars. The Hawks finished with a team score of 228.
