Drier and staying cooler than normal

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today we are officially one week away until we enter the Fall Equinox and only 15 more days left of the monsoon season.

It's been an active monsoon season, so for the Desert Southwest, which has brought some improvements with our drought conditions across the state of Arizona.

Drier air continues to move into our region, which will keep our conditions dry and clear for the next several days.

Afternoon highs will continue to remain below normal with a slight warm-up for the weekend with highs peaking near the triple digits.

More moisture is expected to enter back into the Desert Southwest by the start of next week.
