Home Grown: The U of A extension hosted a workshop for continuing AG education

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - In today's Home Grown, the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension hosted the Fall Integrated Pest Management Seminar.

This was a five hour workshop where 13 different speakers talked about dealing with the ongoing drought, as well as pest management in preparation for winter growing season.

The university says they do more than teach in a classroom, adding that the extension branch brings education to the community, so they can stay up to date on new agriculture discoveries.

There were almost 40 people who attended in person and about the same amount on zoom.

Most of the attendees are pest control advisors continuing their education.
