El Centro Border Patrol agents rescue eight people within two hours
Eight individuals were rescued early Tuesday morning around the U.S./Mexico border in two separate situations
OCOTILLO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - El Centro Border Patrol rescued eight undocumented immigrants within the Jacumba Wilderness region in two separate events.
Around 11:37 p.m., Monday, El Centrol Border Patrol were notified of the first rescue which were two lost individuals and needed assistance.
At 1:28 a.m., Tuesday, the agents rescued the two individuals who were located two miles north of the U.S./Mexico border.
The second rescue occurred around 1:20 a.m., Tuesday, when El Centro Border Patrol were made aware about six lost individuals and rescued the group at 3:02 a.m. and were located one and a half mile north of the U.S/Mexico border.
The eight individuals were found to be safe and did not need medical attention.
El Centro Border Patrol verified that the individuals crossed the border without any required documents and were taken into custody for processing at the El Centro Sector Processing Center.
