VIDEO: Fatal police hospital shooting in Texas

(NBC) - Police officers in Irving, Texas shot and killed a man inside a hospital emergency room after the man fired at least two rounds at officers.

Officials say a nurse at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center notice a patient had a fire arm and was "alarmed" by his behavior.

The nurse alerted two officers who were at the hospital at the time.

They engaged the suspect who fired one shot then fired at least one more when additional officers arrived on scene.

A police spokesperson said that's when officers returned fire killing the gunman.

The incident remains under investigation.
