Family Thing Car Club to host Fathers Day event in the Foothills

The club is doing the event to help out the Crossroads Mission, providing plenty of entertainment in the process - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - If you’re looking for a way to celebrate Fathers Day this weekend, you can do so while also helping out the Crossroads Mission.

The Family Thing Car Club is hosting an event in the Simply Shabby Mini Mall.

The event will feature everything from food, live music, and even a car show.

Those who attend can also enter in raffles.

The club's Vice President, Alfredo Rodriguez is also requesting donations for the Crossroads Mission.

Saying they’re most in need of mens underwear.

“Like our car club says it’s Family Thing Car Club so it’s a family thing that we’re trying to do so all fathers can get together, It’s good weather, a good time, cars, it’s what we love to do so we’re gonna be out there,” Rodriguez said.

The event will begin at 9:00 a.m, and continue until 2:00 p.m.
