UPDATE: Wildfire spreads near Levee Road and 4E

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) says a wildfire erupted on June 15 around the area of Levee Road and 4E.

At around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, flames broke out and BLM says the incident always started as a wildfire along the Colorado and Gila River.

Reports say about 30-40 acres were burned so far.

BLM says they used resources from the Fish and Wildlife Services, the City of Yuma and units from Rural Metro to contain the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
