UPDATE: Yuma Regional Medical Center gives “all clear” after investigation into verbal threat

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) says it received a security threat but is now announcing an "all clear."

The Yuma Police Department also says the medical center is safe to return to for visitation.

This follows a verbal threat received on early afternoon June 5.

"We greatly appreciate the collaborative efforts of the YPD and Yuma Border Patrol to provide added support for patients and staff throughout the incident. It is common practice for our hospital and any major medical facility to collaborate with law enforcement to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff," said YRMC in a media advisory.
