3,000+ APS customers affected by power outage in Yuma

UPDATE (9:50 P.M.) APS reports there are now only 66 customers affected by this outage. Restoration time for these customers is still 1 a.m.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - More than 3,000 customers are without power after a major power line went down Tuesday night in Yuma, according to APS.

The power outage was reported at 9:01 p.m. APS said the outage was caused by an "unknown interference to a major power line". Crews are in the area to determine what caused the outage.

Power is expected to be restored by 1 a.m.

The outage includes Avenue B to Avenue A from Main Street to 12th Street.
