Fourth Avenue Junior High promotes hands-on learning

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Two different classes at Fourth Avenue Junior High School had hands-on, real-world experience learning in the classroom today.

The culinary arts class had chef Eddie Guzman and sous chef Richard Hernandez come to teach the kids how to make sushi and teriyaki chicken.

The construction and trades class created a table from scratch to donate to Amberly's Place for a family in need.

Through these interactive classes, the middle-school students could get a feel for these career paths and decide if they want to pursue that career path.
