American Red Cross to host 6 blood drives in Arizona

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The American Red Cross will host six blood drives in the Southwestern and Western area of the desert state.

The blood drives will begin on Thursday, March 10 with first-time locations in Quartzsite and Parker, Ariz.

Air Methods Medical Transport will land their helicopter to leave for display at the blood drive parking lot, at both Quartzsite and Parker.

Details on the blood drives are as follows:

  • Thursday, March 10, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-Yuma Stake - 4200 W 18th Street, Yuma, AZ 85365 (12 p.m. – 6 p.m.) 
  • Friday, March 11, Civil Air Patrol, held at the Yuma Red Cross Office - 2450 South 4th Ave. Suite 108 Yuma, AZ 85364 (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) 
  • Monday, March 14, Yuma Rural Metro Fire Dept., held at the Yuma Red Cross Office - 2450 South 4th Ave. Suite 108 Yuma, AZ 85364 (10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) 
  • Tuesday, March 15, Stoneridge Church - 6300 E 24th Street Yuma, AZ 85364 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) 
  • Wednesday, March 16, Quartzsite Improvement Association - 235 East Ironwood Rd. Quartzsite, AZ 85346 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) HELICOPTER ON DISPLAY 
  • Thursday, March 17, La Paz County Sheriff Boating Safety Division - 8500 Riverside Dr. Parker, AZ 85344 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.) HELICOPTER ON DISPLAY
