El Centro police search for shooting suspect

One victim in critical condition

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA,KECY) - The El Centro Police Department (ECPD) needs the public's helping in finding the suspect in an early morning shooting.

Officers say it happened just after 1:30 Monday morning in the 300 block of North Imperial Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing three or four gunshot wounds. Police arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound laying on the ground.

Paramedics took the victim to El Centro Regional Medical Center. Doctors later airlifted him to a trauma center where he remains in critical condition.
