Az 5th graders can enter to win $529

5th graders across the state are encouraged to sumbit an essay about their future

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - It's on every parent's mind, how do you plan for your child's future. When it comes to education AZ529 has a suggestion, one that pays off in the long run.

From now and on until May 29, 2021, 5th graders throughout Arizona can log on to the AZ529 website and submit an essay for a chance to win $529 towards a new or existing Az Education Savings Plan.

The Arizona Education Savings Plan offers parents the opportunity to put away money towards their child's education. Funds are saved on a tax deferred basis which holds of being taxed until the funds are needed.

Students will be asked to answer one simple question, what is your dream job? And, how to do plan on acheiving it in the future? Twenty winners will be chosen from counties across Arizona.

If you have a child and are interested in starting an education savings plan, the cost is minimal to start and can be used for college, university, trade-schools or education based programs.
