Enter to become the next ‘Donut Ambassador’
Food City's parent company Bashas Family Food Stores is calling on culinary artists
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - It is said that the donut first made an appearance in the early 1800s. A few centuries later and the doughy delight still is a fan favorite among those who love pastries.
The donut has recognized the world over, in one case a pink sprinkled donut is linked to a popular cartoon series. In another, the snacks remind people of a certain line of work, which has grown to be an unfortunate stereotype.
Regardless of its origin, the donut is one of America's more popular pastries. So, it's no surprise that the Bashas Family of Food Stores decided to hold a contest to see who has what it takes to make the next donut delight.
During the past year, families were quarantined and for many taking on challenges in the kitchen became their new sport. So Bashas is calling on culinary adventurists young and old to take on their Donut Flavor Kraze Contest.
From now, until midnight May 17, 2021, culinary artists between the ages of 8-17 and adults can enter to win. All you have to do is submit a 100-word description of your donut creation and cross your fingers.
There will be two winners, one from each age group. The winners will receive $500 in prizes, be dubbed a Bashas Donut Ambassador and their flavor will be added to the Bashas Donut menu.
