San Luis Fire Department employee tests positive for virus

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Saturday evening San Luis Mayor Gerardo Sanchez announced a positive coronavirus (COVID-19) case within the San Luis Fire Department (SLFD).

In a Facebook post, Mayor Sanchez says Fire administration and city staff will continue to take the necessary precautions, including monitoring those who may have come into contact with the employee:

Mayor Sanchez says he is advising the public of the positive case for the sake of transparency, urging the community to limit exposure with others.

Due to HIPPA privacy laws, the employee's information will remain confidential.
