YPD releases Memorial Day weekend traffic enforcement statistics

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-The Yuma Police Department (YPD) releases statistic results for Memorial Day weekend as followed:

With the help from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, YPD had 11 extra officers working this past weekend.

The following 86 traffic stops resulted in:

4 total DUI Arrests; 2 for Misdemeanor DUI and 2 for Aggravated DUI.

2 - Sober designated drivers contacted

22 - Speeding citations issued; 3 of them for Criminal Speed

31 - Violations cited for other than speeding

2 - Child restraint violations

1 - Other arrests
