Man drives himself to hospital after being shot

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to shots fired Monday night, and said the victim drove himself to the hospital with serious injuries.

YPD said they received reports of shots fired at 8:18 p.m. on the 1200 block of S. 8th Avenue.

Officers who responded to the scene learned that a man was shot after a disturbance on the road.

The man who was shot was said to have driven himself to the hospital, where he is suffering from serious injuries.

The incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact YPD at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
