MEXICALI, B.C. (KYMA, KECY)-Various medical organizations in Mexicali sue the Baja California Secretary of Health due to the lack of personal protective equipment and medical supplies in public hospitals.

Medical organizations say there are shortages of supplies, which makes it difficult for doctors to work. This situation started when the infections were presented to medical nurses and staff of public health institutions that attend patients with COVID-19.

They point out that the lack of medical material has been a problem in the hospital for a long time and now that the pandemic occurs, the situation worsens.

Medical organizations say that over 25 doctors at the clinic 30 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) have already infected. The doctors representing various medical colleges delivered the petition Wednesday to the offices of the Secretary of Health in Mexicali.

The organizations say the situation will worsen in the coming days since the contagion curve is currently on the rise in Baja California.
