SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - An 11-year-old boy is in juvenile detention accused with an armed robbery at a San Luis gas station.

San Luis Police say they were called to the Super C gas station on Cesar Chavez Street just before eight Tuesday night. Officers say they arrived to find a group of juveniles restraining a young boy.

It turns out the boy was the suspect in the robbery. Officers say the boy pointed a weapon at a clerk and demanded money. They say the clerk handed over a total of $282.27. Police recovered all of it.

Officer arrested the boy and booked him into the Yuma County Juvenile Detention Center on a number of felony charges including armed robbery.
