Christmas meals for all

Volunteers delivering meals to people's homes

Crossroads Mission served thousands this week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - For those who weren't able to make it to Crossroads Mission for a Christmas meal, volunteers made home deliveries.

Crossroads Mission is a faith-based nonprofit organization that helps the homeless, needy and addicted.

Volunteers served thousands of Christmas meals this week, complete with desert. This was on top of the regular three meals a day provided by Crossroads Mission.

Aside from the meals served at the shelter, over two thousand meals were home delivered. One volunteer who has been helping out for 25 years explained why she was there today.

“We live in such a rich community and world and theres a lot of people that aren’t as fortunate as we are," Estalee Williams said. "If we could just give back to the Yuma community and just to accept people for who they are and to help the out."

There were many grateful smiles around town when people received their meals. Hundreds of blankets and toys were also given away.
