The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign short on donations
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - Bell ringers have been collecting donations through the holiday season at its signature Red Kettles, but has come up short before their December 24th deadline.
Thanksgiving came at a later time this year, which led to the loss of ringing days for the Salvation Army.
They are only at 52% of their goal of raising $50,000 to help those in need the upcoming year.
There are currently Red Kettles stationed outside many local stores. You can also donate online at Yuma.salvationarmy.org. You can even ask Alexa to "make a donation to the Salvation Army."
Eighty-two cents of each dollar that is donated is used to support local programs and services.
