Thief takes package – leaves thank you note

ST PAUL, Minn. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - A woman in Minnesota recently got an unpleasant surprise instead of a holiday delivery.

Hillary Smith says she opened her front door to retrieve a package and found a note instead.

It read:

"So just a quick little thank you for leaving me the opportunity of steaing your package. Very nice of you. Thank you, The New Owner of Your Package."

Note left in place of stolen package

The package contained a gift for Hillary's boss.
