YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - Yuma Senior Living will celebrate its "Stuff the Stocking " holiday event on December 14.

The center announced this holiday event upon a successful Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway last month, hoping to continue its community engagement.

"Stuff the Stocking" is a 12 and under event, for children accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Yuma Senior Living staff and volunteers will be donating candy and small toys to the first 300 children who fit the age requirement.

“We are excited about this event. Unfortunately, we know that there are too many children in our community who do not receive holiday gifts on Christmas day or during the holiday season” said Deborah Hall, Executive Director.

“Our partners and team will hand out sweets and small toys to be stuffed in holiday stockings that will be given to the first 300 children who come visit us."

The event begins at 10 A.M. and ends at noon. The center is located at 2600 S 4th Avenue in Yuma.

This is Yuma Senior Living's first winter celebration of this kind, and it hopes it will be a success.
