55-year-old woman dies of injuries after being hit by car in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)-The woman who was hit by a vehicle after crossing the street Tuesday is dead, according to the Yuma Police Department (YPD).
YPD said a 55-year-old woman was crossing 32nd Street when she was hit by a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 53-year-old man.
Reports said the accident happened on 32nd Street just east of the Araby Road intersection.
Police said she was transported to the hospital where she died of her injuries.
Alcohol and speed are not considered to be a cause of the accident.
This case is still under investigation.
