CALEXICO, Calif. (KSWT, KYMA, KECY)-The Calexico Unified School District held a breaking ground ceremony on Tuesday at Calexico High School(CHS) to discuss multiple renovation projects that are in the works.

The home of the Bulldogs will soon be home to a state of the art culinary facility and new classroom building.

The new classroom building will include 16 classrooms fully equipt with the latest technology for students and teachers.

The funds for these renovations came from Measure V.

According to the committee overseeing the construction at CHS, 75% of voters, voted in favor of Measure V back in 2016 general elections.

The 16 classroom building is expected to be completed and ready to go, just in time for the 2020-2021 academic school year.
