Highway 111 to 1-8 ramp closure expected Wednesday
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - The connector ramp from southbound State Route 111 (SR-111) to eastbound Interstate 8 will be closed on Wednesday, December 4, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Caltrans says detour signs will direct motorists on southbound SR-111 to westbound I-8, then south on Dogwood Avenue to connect to eastbound I-8.
Crews will relocate a light pole, part of the I-8 Update Project, made up of five segments to improve 48 miles of Interstate 8 in Imperial County.
Segments 4 and 5 are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
