YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- The Yuma County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DUI enforcement detail this weekend.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) said the checkpoint will be conducted from November 27 to November 30 in an effort to detect and arrest DUI drivers.

Deputies will be increasing patrols throughout Yuma County, but they will also be targeting areas with a high rate of DUI related collisions and arrests.

The traffic safety campaign is provided through a grant awarded by the Arizona Governo's Office of Highway Safety.

YCSO would like to encourage all citizens to be safe this holiday weekend.

If you plan to drink, please use a designated sober driver.
