Motorcycle group donates hundreds of turkeys to local charities for Thanksgiving

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KSWT)- Dozens of motorcyclists around the Desert Southwest are making sure Imperial Valley families in need have a warm meal this Thanksgiving.

The "22nd Annual Turkey Drive" by the Abate Motorcycle Group is giving local charities over 400 hundred turkeys.

It's their way of giving back to the community and to families who have a difficult time making ends meet during holidays.

Edward Aranda/ Abate Local 38 President: "So it's very important to us to try to provide the best that we can. Because no matter how hard we have it other people have it a whole lot worse."

Aranda says with all the turkeys donated today, thousands of families will have a turkey on their table this thanksgiving.
