American Legion to hold “Family Day”
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT,KECY)-The American Legion in El Centro is inviting veterans, active-duty members, and their loved ones to "Family Day".
The event gives members of the armed forces a chance to take a break and enjoy a day with their families, filled with free food and movies.
It's also an opportunity for veterans to create new friendships with those who have shared experiences.
"It's just a natural bond of being veterans or active duty or national guard or reservists. That you kinda know and can relate to what the others [is] experiencing. It's good to get together and sometimes meet other people and talk about it."
The event starts this Saturday at the American Legion in El Centro from 3-8 p.m.
