Locals react to Trump Impeachment Inquiry

The 2020 election is just a year away, the majority of locals have some very interesting points to make from both sides. The one key takeaway is that many are voicing the concerns of millions of Americans.

One local, Laura Moss, voiced that she feels that there needs to be a thorough investigation for a potential impeachment to hopefully bring the division in the country to an end.

Moss said, “At this point, I am an Independent in my life, I got tired of all the fighting on both sides, I just want our senators to forget about R’s and D’s and I’ and listen to the evidence.”

Among her worries, the credibility of casting a vote in future elections in the United States.

Moss said, “I am worried about the 2020 elections being free, open and secured.”

Another local, John Sanders mentioned that this is just a hoax from the democratic party to hurt President Trump’s re-election campaign.

Sanders said, “Basically what it blows down to is that Democrats can’t beat him in 2020.”

Sanders also mentioned that “Trump is good for the country” quoting and crediting much of what he has accomplished, as the growth in employment across the country as well as the stable economy and improvements to the nation’s armed forces.

The continued debate on whether there should be an impeachment process always falls back on President Trump’s calls with Ukrainian President Zelensky, something that many like Sanders feel is not enough grounds to start such a process.

“Well I think it’s a hoax what trump did with the call to Ukraine,” said Sanders. “I don’t think there’s criminal intent there, he has the right to speak to the President of Ukraine about policy and so forth.”

Others like Moss believe that he might’ve had a personal financial interest while in office, something that is highly unconstitutional and even more so grounds to dig further.

Interestingly enough, one thing that both locals mentioned was that the base and supporters of President Trump haven’t lost hope that he will deliver what he promised and will most likely not hurt him in the Republican nomination for 2020.

“There are Republicans and there are Trump-backers they are people that have fallen for his charisma and what he promised the first time around,” said Moss. “They are very defensive, very protective of him because they have not yet gotten what he promised, and they are still hoping he will do what he said.”

Others that support the President, like Sanders said, ” Look at Trump’s base, do you ever watch his rallies? The base is very strong. ”
