Pedestrian seriously injured in crash

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Friday, leaving the pedestrian with serious injuries, according to the Yuma Police Department (YPD).

YPD said a 27-year-old man was crossing 8th Street in the area of 14th Avenue when he was hit by a 63-year-old man traveling eastbound on 8th Street.

The pedestrian was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center.

YPD said the 63-year-old driver did not suffer any injuries.
