Dive into fun at the newly opened aquatic center

The grand opening of the new Aquatic Center in El Centro is just the beginning of a growing community project.

The El Centro City Mayor Edgard Garcia said, “”This is the aquatic center as it is now, but we do have plans to put in two water slides as well. This is just the grand opening as it is in the first phase, but we plan on expanding it in the future.”

A press release provided by RD Media said the Aquatic Center opened up on October 26 and has a lap pool, a warm-up pool, a child’s splash pad area, and a lazy river.

“The engineering behind this aquatic center allows for the water to be heated and cooled in the summer. It can be used for rentals. It can be used by the community at large and it’s really an inclusive facility, because not only do we cater to small children but we have the competition pool which can be used by the high schools for tournaments in swimming competitions and also our wonderful lazy river,” Garcia said.

Reports said the facility is located at 540 Park Avenue in El Centro and opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
