Man accused of setting fire inside Walmart store
Flagstaff police say they’ve arrested a man for deliberately setting a fire inside a Walmart.
Officers arrived at the store around 3 Saturday morning to find it filled with heavy smoke. They say the sprinkler system had activated.
Store employees report seeing a man leave the area just as the fire broke out. Another witness was able to identify a possible suspect as Cody Yazzie .
Police arrested Yazzie Saturday night on suspicion of arson. He also faces charges of accused of endangerment, giving false information to law enforcement and two drug charges plus an unrelated arrest warrant for trespassing.
He remains behind bars on $250,000 bail.
