Border Patrol releases cause of immigrant death

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a Mexican immigrant who died shortly after his arrest had a pre-existing heart condition.

CBP says Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended the man Sunday afternoon south of Casa Grande.

Agents determined the man needed medical attention while booking him. They sent him to Tucson hospital.

The man passed away Monday morning. Doctors attribute his death to a heart condition. CBP has not released his name.
