Kidnapped boy safely recovered

Police in central California have found a kidnapped four-month-old baby. The infant is safe, while his mother’s ex-boyfriend is behind bars.

Hanford police say the found the baby boy in Lemoore Tuesday. That’s about 10-miles from where the child was taken Monday.

Officers arrested 42-year-old Wesley Williams for the abduction.

They say Williams snatched the baby minutes after child’s mother told him he could be the boy’s father.

Police say Williams called them to ask about his parental rights. They say they told him to return the child, but he did not follow their orders. Officers say he also turned off his phone to prevent further communication.

Police eventually located Williams’ car. They arrested him, and returned the baby to his mother.
