Southwest High School Chamber Orchestra offers “Night at The Movies” for residents

For one night only, Imperial Valley residents can enjoy a ” Night at The Movies ” , where the Southwest High School chamber orchestra will perform music scores from famous films.

Funds from the concert go towards the orchestra’s trip to a prestigious music Invitational in Orlando, Florida.

” Night At The Movies ” , offers residents the chance to experience the talent the school has to offer and enjoy their love for films.

” When we perform as an orchestra there’s a whole spectrum of music and a wide variety of genres that we can represent. So movie music is one of those that almost everyone can instantly recognize. And if you play a theme from Star Wars everyone’s going to know what that is, ” said Dr. Matthew Busse , Director of Orchestra

Some of the movies concert goers can expect to hear Friday night, include the Pirates of the Carribean , Star wars and Jurassic park. You can buy tickets at the school for $5 or at the door for $7.
