New IV Food Bank facility to open soon

The Imperial Valley Food Bank is putting the finishing touches on its new facility in the city of Imperial.

The food bank serves over 20,000 residents monthly.

Stefanie Campos, the development assistant for the Imperial Valley Food Bank said the new modern facility opens up a variety of opportunities and services that they could provide the community.

“We’ll be able to serve more individuals in the Imperial Valley. We can increase our capacity now and we have this modern safe and efficient system of accepting food and being able to handout and donate food around the Imperial Valley,” said Campos.

The new facility will be up in running on September 9 and is located 486 Aten Rd. in the city of Imperial.
