6.4- Magnitude earthquake reported on Oregon coast

The United State Geological Survey has reported a 6.4-magnitude earthquake on the Oregon coast.

The earthquake was reported at 8:08 a.m. Thursday.

The epicenter of the earthquake is located 172 miles off of Bandon , Oregon.

The fault lies beneath the surface of the ocean and did not occur inland.

No word if a tsunami threat is in effect at this time.
